I installed some reports at a client's and the Format routine did not run on their PC. The place on the report that is supposed to show the formatted value shows "Name?" instead.

I've had this happen before 5 years ago - the Date routine in a query would not work on someone else's PC.

What's the solution to this?

A couple of things to check:
1. Make sure the target machine has the correct versions of VBA, DAO (if you use it), and any other libraries you need. Also, the Access version or runtime library version.
2. Check that you haven't given any of the controls names that duplicate Report object properties or methods. I've had this kind of problem when I had a text box named Name on a report. Access can get confused between the built-in property and the property Access creates with the control's name. Rick Sprague
