I was messing around with Suse and mandrake on my extra hard drive, but just could not find modules new enough for my hardware, so now I wanna get that harddrive back to being my slave under windows, but its not even there now. What program/command can I use to format that hard drive back to fat or ntfs? I can't even find good old dos format D:

Start, run, CMD

diskpart

list disk

(I will assume you have two disks, but check the listing from this command to see that you are picking the right one. I am assuming Disk #1 is the Linux disk)

select disk 1
select partition 1
delete partition override noerr
create partition primary

exit
exit

You can use Disk Management to format the disk. Make sure you do an Action, rescan disks first.

wow dang, another hidden program in cmd :).
Thanks a ton, I had to borrow my friends partion magic disk, but this will come in handy later on.
