Could someone please tell me if I have the syntax right when I want to compare the year from a table and the computer. eg (Year([HistoryHeader].[Date]))=Year(Date()) this gives me some 2003 but it also gives me 1999, 2000, 2001, 2003. I just want the records for 2003. Any ideas would be much appreciated.

I think you're posting this to the wrong forum. Are you using MS Access? If so (and it looks like it), there are several forums available. The queries forum looks right for this type of question: forum701

If not, please be specific as to which DBMS you're using/where your tables are stored. --
