Hello people

I need to type numbers (like Invoice Numbers)into a row(cell) and not have it reformat it and remove the leading zeros after tabbing to the next cell.

or format the row to a string.

How do I do this. Im not an Excel person, so please explain how its done

Thank you

Myrna

Hi,

Select the column

Format/Cells/Number Tab/Category:Custom - and type as many zeros as you want digits in the Type box.

If you want to try another way, select the column, right click, select "format cells", click on the tab called "number" and choose category "text".
