I am using Crystal XI. I have columns of numbers that are currency. Is there a way to have the first item in a column formatted with the dollar sign, but not all items in the column? They want only the first item and then the total with the $ sign.

Thanks.

Right click on the field->format field->number->customize->currency tab->check "enable currency symbol"->check "one symbol per page".

That works. But of course that brings up another question. Is it possible to do it once per grouping, and not once per page? Sometimes a page will have two groupings on it and they would like it on the first line item of the grouping.

Thanks.

In the customize->currency tab, click on the x+2 button next to enable currency symbol and enter:

if onfirstrecord or
{table.groupfield} <> previous({table.groupfield}) then 2

Use a 1 if you want the $ sign to be fixed, not floating.
