I am trying to create a form to veiw a SSIS logging table that will autoscroll as new entries are added to a SQL server table.

I tried using a timer but this kept Access so tied up that I had to kill the process to get control of the application back.

Anybody have any experience on how to make a form that will "detect" when a row has been added and display the new row?

Thanks!!

Thanks

How is the form looking at the data? Is it a linked table? If so, you probably want to avoid an automatic refresh anyway - have a manual one instead.

The project is currently done as an ADP rather than as an MDB with linked tables. I was thinking that AN ADP would be a better choice for this type of application since an ADP is essentially a permanent OLEDB connection to the SQL database. The hope was that with this type of connection to the SQL DB, there would be a way to keep the local form “synched” with the table.

Thanks
