I have created a simple text box form within my flash movie in order to send info to my database via ASP. It works fine!

But I also want to use the 'Menu' from the smart clips section of the common library that comes with Flash 5.

I want to fill the menu with the names of some different countries and be able to send the selected country name as a variable along with the other variables from my textboxes mentioned earlier.

However, I cant seem to generate the selected country as a variable.

How do I do this as painlessly as possible please.

(I've followed the 'Customizing the Flash 5 Menu Smart Clip' techNote from Macromedia but still havn't managed to achieve my goal.)

you might want to use the javascript function get var and set var. this is how I get information and strings to and from flash via the server. You could use XML and make it easy to retrieve several bits of informaton.

Hope this helps !
