Hi,

On one page, I have a <FORM> tag, and FrontPage insists on putting the closing </FORM> tag right after it. The problem is, the rest of my form is then after the closing tag. I have the option set to Preserve HTML on save; nevertheless, each time I save after deleting that </FORM>, FP puts it back. I've tried copying and pasting the contents of my form between the <FORM> and </FORM> tags FP generates, but when I do that and save, FP just puts in another </FORM> after the first <FORM>. Is there anyway to stop this from happening? It's only happening on document; all the others with form tags are working just fine. If anyone has any suggestions, I'd really appreciate it, as I'm getting pretty frustrated.

Thanks,

Misty

Hi Misty

I am not sure if this will address your specific problem, but ...

In 2K, 2002 and '03

If you go to Tools >> Page Options>> General you will see &quot;Automatically enclose form fields within a form&quot;

If this is checked, it will place additional form tags.

To disable, uncheck it.

Hope I have been of some help,
Micheal

Hi, Michael,

Thanks for the tip, but it was already unchecked. I know that at one point it was checked for this page and that I then unchecked it. But alas, it's still trying to complete the form tag. If anyone has any other suggestions, I'd really appreciate them!

Thanks,

Misty

You may have an extra </FORM> tag in your HTML somewhere. Do a search in HTML view for </FORM> to make sure there isn't an extra </FORM> tag. If this isn't the problem can you post your HTML?

I'm looking at the code; I barely ever use the Normal mode. I delete the extra </FORM> tag and then save, and lo and behold, FrontPage just puts it back every single time.
