Hi I am in desperate need of some help. I am new to this and have even been on courses but it doesn't teach you anything advanced!! The problem is I have a main form which has a subform Users at the top (I have made it a subform as I want the data shown in datasheet view) below the User Subform I have created 4 tabs, on 1 tab I want to display the Training records, another for Installations, another for Notes and another for General. When a user is selected from the top I want the tabs to show the information associated only with this user. How would I go about this. I have tried subforms on each tab (as they are all from different tables!) but I cannot get it to link with the user selected.

Any help would be most appreciated.

thanks

Juls

You're going in the right direction.. ..

In each sub form in turn put the main form's userId field in the LinkMasterField parameter and place the UserRef fieldname from the subform's underlying table in the LinkChildField parameter

So if the User table has a primeKey UserId and this links to a UserRef foreignKey in the Training table then for the subform in the training tab
LinkMasterField = UserId
LinkChildField = UserRef
