Form/Skin Design in VB 1

I am tying to design a form in VB that has a Skin like Windows messange or Media Player. I don't understand how they got those cool looking buttons/interface. Any help would be appreciated.

I think you can find what you need at Extreme VB. The code is titled Skin Exe. I've never used it, but I've seen it referenced a number of times by people that have had success with it. You'll find it at:
