Form query not returning data when accessing from a network share

I have inherited an access database that has an odd behaviour. The mdb is sitting on a server and has linked tables to SQL tables. When I open the mdb on the server the forms work and all data is shown. When I open the mdb via a shortcut from a client machine, the form opens and all the drop downs are populated but the main form data is blank.
Any ideas? I am at a loss. Client and server all have the same DSN names with the same settings. The linked tables use the DSN for the connection to SQL.

A good start will be to open the main form datasource (query) in design view and see if everything is still there; then open in datasheet view and see if it actually returns anything. If it returns the needed data, try creating a new blank form and copying objects from the old into it. Sounds too basic, but sometimes it works....
If the query is missing supporting tables, you will need to re-link; if it returns null then you may have joining problems to resolve.
