Does anybody know why on some forms you can just hit ENTER from anywhere and on some others you have to have the focus on the button to hit it? I'd like to be able to hit ENTER whenever I want, from any field in my form on every form I have. Does anybody know how to assure I'll be able to do that?

depends on the browser. Depends also on the type of input you're in (like : if you're in a input type=textarea then enter will just break the line). You can only make sure that there's an input type=submit, (or =image) which is called by default on enter, but not on all browsers and not when you are on any field.
You should have asked this question in the "html & css" forum, as it's html related. You'd have faster answers. Or even better, you should have performed a search on this question on the html & css forum, and you'd get even fastest answers, as it'd been already asked & answered a few times.
