I set up a form in Front Page 2002 to submit the results to a text file (the one FP uses as the default when you set up the page: _private/feedback.txt). When I make my form live, enter in some info and hit submit I get this error:

FrontPage Error.
User: please report details to this site's webmaster.

Webmaster: please see the server's application event log for more details.

The _private/feedback.txt file is posted on my server. How do I get these to connect? Is there another step I am missing? I do not host my own site, I have a web hosting service.

Does the feedback have to go to the text file?
I just have the form send email directly to me. Glenn

Well, no. I tried setting it up to send to email - wont work. It said that it was being written on a disk based (don't have the error in front of me)... Having same problems with EVERY type of option in front page 2002. The data wont go from the form to the database/txt file/email. Can you give me some tips on how your set up is? I have a hosting service. All Microsoft says is check with your webhosting provider :p. I would REALLY apreciate it!

:) Thanks a bunch!

Going crazy,

Melissa

Ask them to repair or reinstall in the FP extensions. Sounds like the bots are having issues. DeZiner
