Form Loading Speed Issues

Hello
I have a main form which is linked to a table, this data is displayed on a tab control.

I then have 6 more pages each with a subform on which are linked to the id on the first page.(patientid)

These subforms are based on queries but I have tried this with basing them on the tables

With all 6 subforms on it takes 30sec plus to load,with only one record of data, with just the main form - instant, even if i have just two pages both based on tables it takes 10 sec plus

I've looked through all the FAQ and I dont have loads of lookups/combo boxes etc on the forms and I have recreated it from scratch to make sure i dont have any odd code about.

Any ideas where I may have gone wrong?

I'm guessing that the six subforms are each showing data from a different table or query. Are the fields which link these data sources together all indexed?
