Hi,
I've created a form and I've set the data type in the db and form field to text. I want to prevent the user from tabbing to the next field if the data type in the field is incorrect. Can anyone advise me how to do this? Thanks.

well, if you can type it from the keyboard, then access can save it as text, (even numbers can be saved as text)..

the only way i can see it to write a procedure that will check every char. in the field in the befor update of the field... sorry...
