Form Controls in Publisher

is there anyway to use form controls (like the ones in word) in Publisher. I love the form controls in word, but it is too hard to manipulate anything but text. I like to work in publisher, because I can create exactly what I want, positioning is easy, but I can never tab through my text boxes or create fields, so filling out a form is difficult and time consuming (having to click each textbox). Any suggestions would be great. Thanks
