I have a bound form to a query (querying main table)that displays dates and related data. When the form is opened it displays the entire database (which is what i want) but I need it to have the current date viewed on the screen not the first date in the database from a year ago - that's a lot of scrolling to do. How do I achieve this - suggestions ??

Do you mean you want to jump to the first record with current date in?

you can use the Find function to find the value of Date() (current date), and set the option to find first.

Or use a filter using the Date() as criteria.

In the Query Grid, go to the field for the dates, and on the Sort line select Descending. Record(s) with the most current date will appear first and oldest date will appear last.

Hope this helps.
