My programming co-hort recently upgraded to Windows ME (for reasons unknown) and now some of his forms and controls are being mysteriously changed in colour.

Specifically, "BackColor" and "DisabledBackColor" are being set to 216,208,200, a sort of wishy-washy brown colour. Not all controls, and not all forms. When he sends me the form, the colours remain, but they're non-default, whereas on his machine, they're still marked as default property.

Anyone else encountered this problem - I assume it's with Windows ME shifting the palette or something? Is it easily fixable?

Hello.

I am in the exactly the same situation (i.e. I use WinME and my colleagues Win98) and we switch the forms daily, but we never encounter this problem. It seems to me that the WinMe computer has a OS problem or VFP problem (maybe fonts, or something). I am pretty sure that the form backcolor is not default on the WinME computer either, but it seems to be, and this is visible only on your computer.

Just curious: on the WinMe computer, the contextual menu on right-click on the BackColor property have enabled "Reset to default" option?

Hope this helps Grigore Dolghin
