Form and database crash

I have a form at work that is used to input all of the associates production data on a daily basis inputed by our team leaders, this database worked fine Thursday and Friday morning when I went in they told me it was not working I tried to open it but there was a error that came up that said this here is just a snipit "The current version was partially converted from a previous version try and convert to a current version" what would make this happen? Thank god I back up this database weekly and had it saved and replaced the corrupted one on the server, could it be possible one of the team leaders may of clicked on something they should not have? Maybe someone clicked on Convert Database?? And then aborted the action.
