One of my personal computers has Windows 2000 professional installed on it. I am the only user and, after a reboot for the first time in a couple of months, have forgotten the password on that box. Is there any way of getting in without having to reinstall the OS and/or lose all of the data on the hard drive?

Thanx

I had the same problem and this the information that I got and it worked just fine for me, so give it a try and see what happens.

There is a unix utility that will you to change the 2000 admin password. It runs off diskett and it is a bootable file. This is a last ditch effort but I have used it several times and haven't had any problems yet. The URL is listed below. Cut and paste this into your browser.

Hope this helps,

Brad
