On January 10th 2025, Forerunner Technologies Inc has signed a definitive agreement to acquire NEC’s on-premise Unified Communications (UC) business and related assets in the Americas.

Can anyone comfirm that Forerunner will continue to sell and support the NEC SV and SL product lines beyond NEC's recent 2030 end of life announcement?

They can sell new hardware until end of 2025. I heard that they are trying to extend hardware sales until end of 2026 but not committed yet. And for licensing and support, from what I understand, they will take that on until end of 2030. This is what I understand, but I'm having a call with Forerunner later today to confirm.

Updated Info from Optus - Forerunner Technologies 2/14/25:

"With Optus’ 30+ year track record as NEC’s largest distribution partner, we’re uniquely positioned to support your continued success. Effective March 3, 2025, resellers will purchase all NEC products through Optus, including hardware, software assurance, and software licenses. As previously announced, hardware sales will be extended through December 31, 2025, and software assurance and software licenses will be available through March 31, 2030. All existing NEC inventory will be transferred to Optus at the beginning of March, with future shipments to follow."
