Hi all I have recently installed Forefront TMG 2010 as our firewall/proxy and since people cannot get access to our sharepoint intranet.
the sharepoint intranet uses a host header "com1.intranet" and has always worked in the past.
The internal dns server can access the intranet but no other computer can.
Local users ie comes up with a dns error generated by the forefront server.
Forefront keeps trying to direct traffic for the intranet to an external source.
You cannot ping "com1.intranet" but you can ping "com1.intranet.domain.local".
I have checked the internal rules and dns should be flowing freely.
In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice. But, in practice, there is.
