On two computers ( one Windows, one Linux ) using Firefox to view a web site that shows the rank of hands in poker, when I go File Print, a small box comes up that says "preparing to print". This message box does not go away, it never prints and actually appears to be hung. What is going on here? The same printed in IE.

hm never experienced that problem, I would uninstall firefox then reinstall it. See if that helps.

I get the same result (hang & have to kill) using:

FF 1.0.7 on WinXP SP2 with a Konica Minolta PagePro 1350
&
FF 1.0.7 on Fedora Core 4 with same printer

So I'd guess that it's FF. By the way IFRs, what version of FF are you using & I suppose for the sake of completeness, what printer?

3 computers:
1) recently aquired from IBM (reconditioned) running Xandros and latest firefox for Linux, HP Deskjet 720C
2) older PC runing Win98 and FF 1.07 (I think) printing to networked Toshiba ES550
3) high end computer running WinXP and 1.5.0.1 printing to Adobe acrobat and Xerox XD100

It loads fine on all 3 - printing hangs.

Prints OK on computer (3) using Opera and IE (though I seldom if ever use IE) to both Acrobat and Xerox
