Forcing to stop printing

I've got a LX-300 printer that prints on fanfold size of paper. What I would like to do is, when the last record is printed, to cause the printer stop printing immediately (usually I have only few records to print so I wouldn't like whole page to be "wasted", not because of costs but because it doesn't look nice). Can anyone help me, please?
It's quite urgent! Thank you in advance!
