How can I have my site force a "Save To Disk" dialogue box when a user downloads, say an Excel File. As you may know, if the visitors machine has Excel loaded on it, many different things can happen such as loading the document into the browsers window, etc... when an href is directed to the file.
Just to see for myself, I opened a free account with x-drive and uploaded an Excel file to it. When I clicked back on that file to download it, sure enough, it prompted me to save it to disk. It should be known that in that example, link wasn't directly to the file. It was to a cgi that returned the file to my computer. I was clicking to a
