Forcing Refresh

I would like to force my flash movie to refresh. I understand that I can do this by appending a uuid to the link.For example

http://www.somepage.com/page.html?uuid=4334433242394823948324908324

If I have an html page with an embedded flash movie should I append the uuid to the link to the html page containing the movie (as above) or should I add the uuid to the embed tag within the page itself?

Although Macromedia says otherwise (

my feeling is it's safer to append unique query string after the SWF URL in <object>/<embed> tag.
