Hello again...I have a new question. I reviewed older threads and cannot find my answer.

I am on CR7.

I have report where a client wants details displayed in certain order for the first level and then by date with in those records. The by date I have figured out. For the first level of sorting, which is an Alpha characters I have it alphabetical. The do not want this. They want..

ISO
NQ
SAR
RS

I cannot seem to find out how to force the order..

When you insert the group on the "first level" field, do you see an option for "specified order" instead of ascending/descending? You would use that. If that wasn't available, create a formula like this:

if {table.field} = "ISO" then 1 else
if {Table.field} = "NQ" then 2 else
if {table.field} = "SAR" then 3 else
4

Then insert a group on this, remove the group name add the {table.field} to the group header instead.
