Hello everyone,

I'm a complete newbie to Microsoft Exchange Server, so I'm gonna ask a pretty stupid question, but I need the info to help a client of ours and none of our technicians is available right now to help the client out.

The client has exchange server on the server installed, but apparently, the e-mails are "hanging" there for several hours before being sent. (apparently they're only being sent at night)

Now, I know there's a possibility to manually send/receive the e-mails on the exchange server, but I don't know the path to follow. Can anyone give this to me (beginning from the "Start" button of Windows)?

In this way the client can send/receive urgent e-mails.

Thanks alot for the help!

Cheers

Steve

This sounds like a much bigger problem than you think it is. Get one of your techs onto it asap! Will probably be a simple fix but tjere are lots of places that need investigating.

Emails should be sent imediately from the server, you can schedule sends but it is not common, i.e. for big mailing lists only to be sent at night etc.

Restart the exchange services and see how that goes failing that, reboot the mail server, failing that, get a tech onto it.

Verify time zones.
