How can I configure Norton so when I plug in a USB thumb/flash drive, it automatically begins a scan of the USB drive --- or at least the files that the user is attempting to open? I used to get an option to scan - now it doesn't even prompt me to scan at all.

How can I force a scan everytime?

Thanks,
Eliezer

SEP already checks files on access. If you plug in a 120GB USB drive you'd probably notice your computer chugging along forever while scanning files. I wouldn't recommend that.

A better way would be to disable autorun on any removeable drives using a GPO.

(Wait, are we talking SEP here or consumer-oriented products? I know nothing about the latter.)

I own (and am asking about) Norton Internet Security 2010.

Thanks,
Eliezer
