Force Owner Info to Handhelds

Hi,

I know that I can set Owner Inofrmation per handheld from the BES but can I:
1) Stop the users from removing/changing the Owner Info on their handhelds, under Options.
2) Can I use an IT Policy or similar to force all users to have the same Owner Info on all devices and not allow anyone to change it?

Try going into your default IT policy, look for the entry labeled "lock owner info". You can lock some or all of the information using the following options:

1 - Lock Information text.
2 - Lock Name text.
3 - Lock both Name and Information text.

Thanks WANguy2k.........However.....

In my default IT policy (and all other policies) there is no entry labelled "lock owner info".....i wish there was!
I can only think we are either running different versions or you have a bespoke addition to your policy..???
We are running BES 3.6.2.14.
I know you can add entries to the IT Policy manually, but you have to write SQL script and I am not sure how to!

Can you help any further>?

I'm on BES 4.0, which I highly recommend. That's probably why you don't have that option. BES 4.0 allows wireless synch of contacts, wireless backup, and other features that are well worth the upgrade cost. You can basically configure, rollout, backup, and reconfigure your Blackberrys wirelessly. No need for the desktop software anymore.
