I have a report that I am exporting to Excel 97-2000. The report has a subreport in the Report Footer. All exports fine but I'd like to have 1 page break so the data in the subreport will print preview in Excel on its own page.

I have "New Page After" checked in CR in the section expert just above the subreport's section, thus the data in the subreport print preivews in CR on its own page. (e.g currently 3 page preview in CR with the Subreports data on its own page 3)

I tried setting the Excel Export Options and checked the box for: 'Create page break for each page' but this adds additional page breaks that are not needed (8 pages in Excel Print Preview). I only need 1 Excel page break for the subreport's data only......i.e. I want to mimic the print preview I have in CR with 3 pages and the subreport's data on the last page separately

Is this possible ?

Excel does not work this way.

Can you put the sub report on a different sheet. BOTH sheets can be selected to print together or just print ALL sheets in the workbook, assuming that these would be the only two sheets.

Thanks for the reply.

Crystal does not work this way.

unfortunatley without some 3rd party software you cannot export to multiple worksheets.

I never understood why anyone would export a REPORT to an Excel workbook anyhow, assuming that by a REPORT is meant...

Repeating Headings

Wrapped Detail data rows

Empty rows between rows of data

Sub reports or multiple detail data rows

As an Excel power user, I absolutely DETEST dealing with such issues!

Because that's what the client who is paying us wants and because other data elements need to be added manaully.

They may just have to manually add their own page break if I can' find a solution.

Thanks again for the info.
