Force Install Firmware

How do you force install firmware onto an old IP 2004. I have read there is a firmware update tool that will do it for you but I know for a fact it can be done somehow using a TFTP server??

I have lots of old Phase 1 2004s that need to be flashed to be compatable with 3.x

In the BCM 3.whatever, in the Telephony radio button, IP Telephony, right click configuration and there is an option to force firmware upload

Yeah i know that. But that wont work seeing how you cant even register the DN to the BCM because the firmware is so old.

I need to upload the firmware manually so the Phone is recognised by the BCM
