One of our staff members sent out a sensitive document to our Everyone group. We tried to recall it but all this does is leave a message in the recipients email saying that the user would like to recall.

I need, well needed to delete all instance of that particular message from the Exchange 2000 Server. Tried using Exmerge which did not work.

Is there an easy way to automatically allow recall's? Or is there a way to delete a message from a mailbox store. I had tracking turned on...

Furthermore, the group which the email was sent to was the everyone group. Is there a way to ask for confirmation before sending to certain groups/distribution lists.

Thanks.

why didn't exmerge work? there's no 'easy' way to allow recalls, they're just allowed, and if you don't get to the message in time, you're not getting it back.
Also, there's no confirmation method, but you can set permissions on groups so that only certain users can send mail to them...
