hi,
How can I force db2 to write data i've inserted in a table into the coresponding container of the tablespace.

I can do this, by archive the logs 5 times(logprimary=3, logsecond=2), but that's not the way I want.
It is also done, when all applications are disconnected from the database, but I need to do this online.

Is there any API or CLP-Command to do this?

Heys,

I´m not sure of what you want to do exactly.

But if I understood if correctly, you want to specify which container from a tablespace is to be writen when you insert data into a table that´s inside the mentioned tablespace?

If that´s what you want, that´s not possible. You can only specify in which tablespaces the table will be placed into. Besides that, the management of data and storage is all on the database. All you can do is, when using DMS and you run out of space, to add a new container, but you can´t specify how data will be place inside it.

Am I missing smth here?
