At any given time there are a number of SQL threads running on the database server. I believe some of there are ghosts; in that over the course of a week i create some crystal reports that take an excessive amount of time to process; often crystal and the task manager show status as (Not Responding)
sometimes the report actually finishes other times it doesn't and i 'force' close the application. as time passes in the week the database resources are not released and as a result the system suffers in performance.
any insight?
