We are totally NT using Groupwise. Can I force auto update to the clients using console 1 even though when the clients were installed they were set to "no" for Auto-Update.

I thought it was possible but cannot seem to find an option.

Thanks

Chris

the force auto-update is in tools, software distribution. Modify your SDD and tick Force update. Lee Smith

Thanks For that.

I tried that but the clients aren't recognising that SP2 is there and I don't have the option to Force update.. Do you have any ideas?

Thanks

Chris

What mode do the clients run in? Online, cached?

IP or unc path?

There are a number of tids regaring it. Some you brute force the bump level on the server. Unfortunately can't test for you as out on site with no Groupwise(The unlucky customer).

If you manually run setup from the Software Distribution directory does the client report sp2 version. Try that first. Lee Smith

Hi Lee,

The clients are all online, on IP. SDD = UNC Path We've tried forcing the bump number but it then says it cannot access the SDD. we point the SDD to \\Servername\gwsoft is this the correct place as I read it adds the client part for you.

Thanks

Chris

It doesn't look correct. It should be
\\servername\volume\directory

example

\\GWServer\Gwise\Gwsoft

Make sure the users have read and file scan rights.

Make sure the path set in console1 tools sdd is correct.
