Force a one sided journal entry?

I have a client who has entered a one sided journal entry. He needs to force a one sided journal entry to balance out this transaction. It should have never been posted. Any body have any ideas?

There is a way to do that pretty easily-my boss usually does it-he's out of town-im not at work-if you dont get any other answers ill try to check it out tomorrow for you.
In meantime, if you have user manuals on line or if you have the user cd manual in your cd packet, take a look at gl manual -look under one sided entry and see if you can get help that way.

in fact you can try the first thing i was going to check
make the entry you want to make ie journal #, description, a/c, dr or cr side and then enter it and see if that isn't the place where it then asks you if you want to make a one sided entry.

Ok, see if this will do it for you-i'm not wanting to do the final posting step on my system 'cause I don't want to explain it to my boss!
Make your entry,
click accept,
there is an error message with 3-4 different choice buttons
at the right side is one called one, click that one,print your report, and hopefully update will go on through.

Sorry it took me so long to get back, we had a bunch of computer trouble this morning.

YES THERE IS A WAY TO POST A ONE SIDED ENTRY. WHEN YOU ENTER THE GL ACCT AND TRY TO POST WITH ONLY ONESIDE OF THE ENTRY A PROPMT WILL SHOW UP AND ASK YOU TO ACCEPT OR ONE, YOU WANT ONE --FOR ONE SIDED ENTRY.
