Hi all,

Is there a way to FORCE/TELL linked text documents, with names like 'ABCDEF.101001013052', to be opened in microsoft word instead of inside internet explorer?

Thanks much,
--bill

When it comes down to it the only way a document will open with an application is because a user has set up those type of extensions to open with a particular piece of software.

=( wish you could but that would be a huge hole for hackers to work their magic.

Thanks, that's what I was afraid of.

if I can't open the documents in MS Word, is there a way to print the documents correctly? The documents are multi-page and have embedded form feeds characters, but when I print in internet explorer, the form feeds are ignored!

Thanks again,
--bill

Only way to have it print is if it is a pure text document (no special formatting).
