I have a situation where my users access Oracle database using ODBC drivers. I would like to forbid this kind of access and to use only my applications front-end - e.g. the native Oracle.

Thanks in advance, Pierre

Hi,
The ODBC stuff is a client side layer to the SqlNet stuff, so Oracle does not 'know' it was used to make the connection...

If what you want to do is restrict database access unless they use your app, then assign all the permissions they need for the database to a role and only grant that role if they are using the app..( just grant 'create session' directly)
