When we "Get Text" in a Qaurk document from WORD, the 200-something footnotes in the text appear as roman numerals, even though they are regular numerals in the Word document.

Any insight to this?

Thanks.

There are a few thing you can try...

Try saving back to an earlier version of word...

Try making your word file an RTF.

I know saving the word file (select word 4 then add .mcw at the end of it) as an .MCW file then bringing that into Quark 4 also works, which you then simply copy and paste into Quark 6

These are all the types of thing I have to do to fix this problem.

I don't know why it happens...
