I have aquired InDesign CS2 on and it is great that it includes automatic footnote editing from word processor. Thanks to Adobe for that. Actually that has become a problem (to me)in the following ways.
I am laying out a journal of about 100 pages with footnote using text placed from MS Word. The whole book is to be layed out in 3 colums.
1.The Problem is that a footnote will appear only in the column where the reference is yet I wish them to appear all together right below all the colums stretching from one side of the page to another just as in MS Word.
2. I always place all chapters at once in one document from word so that the footnotes can come as endnotes and put them manually just from page 1(while using INDDcs), but now I wish to place the each chapter separately(I do a lot of editing towards the time for production and sometimes I oversee text from one chapter that has flown to the next chapter). How do I do it and leave the footnote numbering order intact.
Please help. Thanks
