I have a user who wants to have a footer on the very last page of her lengthy document. We've tried in page setup to select from "this point" only, but it then puts the footer on all pages of the document.

Insert a section break (next page type) at the bottom of the second-last page. If there's a page break already there, delete it.

Go to the last page and View-Header and Footer and hit down arrow key to go to footer. If the words "Same as Previous" appear at the upper-left of the footer outline box, hit the button with the same name on the header/footer toolbar to remove that property. Type what you want into the footer.
