Hi,
I've been trying to find a way to save the footers (which are page numbers) of a really long document while exporting it to text (for subsequent parsing) but apparently, footers are ignored. Same thing when trying to save as html (or "publish"), the footers won't show in the html code not even as comments.
Last thing I thought doing was to run a macro that picks the footer from every page and places it at the end of the actual page that it belongs to but I do not have the skills to do that. Could somebody please help me either save the document in text form with the footers or give me some pointers on how I go about writing that macro?
Thanks.

Install a Generic/Text Only printer driver in Windows and set it up to print to a file. Select the Generic/Text Only printer in WordPerfect when you print and give a name to the document when it prompts for a filename (usually the file will be save to the root of the C drive with a .prn extension). Tell it to print the document. When it is finished you will have a text only file but it will have the page numbers at the bottom of the document where the footer was.

Hope this helps!

You could also use WordPerfect's built-in macro to convert footers to endnotes and then convert the document to text only. In WP9 the macro is footend.wcm
