I'm using Crystal 10 on Oracle. I have a report with the results of a series of variables in the report footer as a summary. I would like to display record detail (by parameter option) but below not above the footer. To achieve this, I saved the report as a subreport and placed it in the header of a main report that shows the detail below the header. This works OK but requires the report to hit the database twice. Is there some other way to accomplish getting the detail below the footer?

The question is whether you really need to use variables for your calculations, or could you have used inserted summaries or conditional formulas. Can't tell without understanding what your variable formulas contain or where they were placed (report sections/grouping). If variables were in fact necessary, then I think you are probably stuck with your current approach.

Yes variables were necessary and the results need to be placed in the report footer. Group totals not possible in this instance. Thank you.
