Prelighting the PDF after exporting from InDesign (CS) MAC, results in the following error:

font is a composite font (2-byte) (13x).

The same InDesign file that is written as a postscript, then distilled, does not result in this error, nor is there an issue with hardcopy printouts.

Any clue what is causing this and remedy. Certainly I can write the file to a postscript, then distill, but like InDesign's export capabilities.

This error is not an issue with RIPs that support CID fonts. This is only a warning for older RIPs. Converse with your service provider to determine if this is an issue. If it is, print to PDF from InDesign. You do not need to write to PS and then distill if you have a PDF-creator established as a virtual printer. Printing to a PDF should be as quick as exporting to a PDF.
