I need the ability to associate a screen (Trye Type)
font with a printer-resident (DIMM) font in such a way
that prevents the screen font from being printed on the
printer, instead substituting the printer-resident font.
Older versions of HP printer drivers (i.e. lj4100) allowed
me to do this simply by installing a *.pfm file for
the printer font (using the same 'face name' as the
screen font).
This no longer works on newer HP drivers, which are
based on the Windows 'Uni-Driver'. Now the screen
font is downloaded and used instead of the printer
font.
Is there a way to re-create the older behavior
on the newer printer drivers?
