I need to format my hard drive. I think I have things under control except for one thing: I would like to be able to save my missing font substitutions. What file contains that information and where is it located? I am using Windows 98SE and am upgrading to XP Pro. I am using Corel 8 and i intend to re-install that version. Thanks for any help you can give. --Charlie

I don't know about the font issue (others here I'm sure can help) but V8 is some while before XP and I seem to remember that changing print settings could cause crashes but was ok if print options were altered from Windows. As you are taking the leap of faith with your OS maybe now is the time to consider a Corel upgrade.

Thanks Brushman. I think you're right. Do you think it would be wise to upgrade all the way to 12?

Difficult to say, many people are happy with V11 (but that it is a problem for some)many are happy with V12, that too has issues, depending on what you do with Draw you may never encounter problems with either. Whichever you go with you will see a major difference from V8, my gut feeling is go with 12 - look out out for service patches and install them when they come. There is nothing stopping you putting V8 on and seeing how it behaves before you upgrade, you may be pleasantly surprised but the future will always be with a higher version.
