Hello All,

I have a machine that is running Win98se, 512MB RAM 8MB shared for video, major programs and program use in MYOB, WordPerfect Suite 8, Eudora, Banking Software and some Kodak Software.

The user is often running only Eudora and WordPerfect 8 when after a short usage time (ranging from 30mins to 2 hours) can open documents and find the font change to BR10-T and courier new or any other font they never use, and the size will reduce to beyond eyesight (2.5 and less!).

I used to experience this sometimes when I opened a landscape document with large tables. However the user experiences it out of the blue.

Does anyone have any idea what causes the change in font and if there is a way to avoid it happening.

We cannot seem to directly pinpoint a cause, therefore the user is constantly interrupted and needs to reboot 10+ times a day.

It is an odd problem. Run a virus check.

Try renaming their wp8us.wpt. Replace us if country is not US.

Try changing print drivers.

What version of wp8? Click Help, and then About in wp. Use the latest version. I don't ever see that problem though with my wp8 oem version on win98se.

Go into the Tools, Settings and set the display to not use printer metrics and not to reformat the documents to the printer on open.

Use latest graphic drivers for your video card.

Try starting wp with the /fl startup switch. A Startup switch of /dm=90 might help.

Reinstall your fonts.
