I have the same report running on 2 different computers. The font has been set in the report to times new roman (western) size 8. On one pc the report prints at size 8, however on another pc the report prints with larger font (maybe size 10). Does anyone know how to fix this?

This is likely a printer/driver issue. Are both machines printing to the same printer? If so, check/update the driver on the problem pc. If not, try printing to the first pc's printer (if they're networked).

I have a question along these same lines.

I need to create a Crystal report that will always print the fields in exactly the same X/Y locations, regardless of what printer is used.

The report will be used to print the fields on a pre-printed form. Is this possible? I am using Crystal 8.5

Thanks

That's just what Crystal is bad at. You could try using different fonts until you hit on one that is consistent. Failing that, you might have to export from Crystal to Word and then print the Word document. (Word is much better at printing exactly the same thing as you see on the screen.)

With Crystal, we did away with our preprinted forms.

We added the form design to the report so Crystal prints both the form and the data.

scc, you could try to use a non-proportional font such as courier, that is, the width of the letter i equals the letter w. If you use Times or Arial, the letter i is narrower than w.
