i am using dinova font in a 40-pg. booklet.
its italic in my style sheet. when i print from quark to printer it shows up italic. when i make a pdf (no matter if i distill or export or change settings) it always comes out not italic. just straight.
called quark. she said use fontfinagler and reinstall font.
i did both. and it is still doing it.
any suggestions?

I find installing the whole font family in this case dinova....then use the *actual* italic version of the font (if it exists) from your font menu - rather than the italic (I) style - in some cases it seems to only show the italic onscreen (like a preview when the font is in fact straight) instead of actually being an italicised font.

Its always worked with prepress work for me - the only other
alternative would be to shear the font but thats not ideal.
